Plot summary
David wants to make films, and a judge's order sends him to a social program at a Jewish community center. He is convinced that he does not belong with the people who take part. The program pairs him with Sarah, and the two of them set out for the Brooklyn Bridge together. Sarah proves lively company, and the two get along well and begin seeing each other as a couple. Their new relationship has to weather several pressures. Sarah has a romantic past, David's mother is critical of the match, and both of them carry a fixed idea of what love should be.
