Plot summary
Siddharth and Kallis live in Chennai and present themselves as freelance IT workers. Their income comes from online shopping scams: they order laptops under false identities, swap the real components for duds, send the machines back for a refund and sell the genuine parts on. Siddharth falls for Meera, a beautician, and proposes to her; Kallis is drawn to her friend Shreya, a chef. Meera grew up in an orphanage, and Shreya was left to fend for herself after loan sharks began troubling her family. A laptop with fake parts catches fire in the home of DCP Prathap Chakravarthi, who traces the purchase and starts hunting the pair. A thief snatches Meera's handbag, and she tells Siddharth that the money inside was hard-earned. Guilty, he and Kallis decide to give up the scams.
