K-911 (1999) on Netflix

Plot summary

Detective Mike Dooley and his German Shepherd, Jerry Lee, have worked the LAPD together for almost ten years. Jerry Lee tires easily now, and Dooley's bosses think the dog's time on the force has come to an end. Someone is stalking Dooley and wants him dead. When Jerry Lee cannot keep up with a suspect during a shootout, Captain Byers teams Dooley with a younger K-9 unit: Sergeant Welles, a detective, and Zeus, her disciplined Doberman Pinscher. Welles says Zeus was trained in the Netherlands and takes his commands in Dutch. The case then leads Dooley back to a convict he once arrested.
