Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Fox Searchlight sent novelty hamburger phones like Juno's to journalists to promote the film, and unaffiliated companies then began mass-producing and selling copies, pushing eBay sales of the phones up 759 percent the month after release.
- Writer Diablo Cody drew heavily on her own high school years: she dated a boy who loved tic-tacs much like Paulie, was best friends with a cheerleader like Leah, and used the same model of hamburger-shaped phone that appears in the film.
- After 17 students under age 16 at Gloucester High School in Massachusetts became pregnant in 2008, Time magazine dubbed it the "Juno Effect", with some commentators accusing Juno and Knocked Up of glamorizing teen pregnancy.
- Diablo Cody said in 2019 she would not write Juno now that people perceive it as an "anti-choice" film, recalling a letter from an administrator at her Catholic high school thanking her for a movie in line with the school's values: "What have I done?"
- Elliot Page was 20 when nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for Juno, the sixth-youngest nominee in the category; the film won Best Original Screenplay and was also up for Best Picture and Best Director.
- Diablo Cody wrote the entire Juno screenplay over seven weeks sitting in the Starbucks section of a Target store in Crystal, Minnesota.
- Juno was ruled ineligible for a Genie Award because Genie rules define Canadian films as financed at least in part by Canadian sources, and the American companies Mandate Pictures and Fox Searchlight were its sole funders.
