Plot summary

A man and three of his friends drug and rape Julia and leave her for dead, and she makes her way home. She is a young woman who has been abused by various people for most of her life and has hurt herself as a result. Then she hears someone describe a treatment that promises rape victims power over the men who attacked them. A woman named Sadie introduces her to Dr. Sgundud, who provides it, and Julia joins the group of women who practice the method with him, learning their rules while she keeps her job at a clinic.
