Plot summary
Babu is seven years old, and his sister Jhalki is nine years old. She lives on the street. When Babu disappears into a world of child labor, Jhalki sets out to find him. She carries a folk tale about a tireless sparrow, and she relies on her own sharp mind. Her search takes her among traffickers and children held in slavery, and she has no idea how deep the corruption of that system reaches. The story draws on the real-life campaign of Kailash Satyarthi, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, against the trafficking of children and their labor in India.
