Plot summary
Jay Kelly has just finished shooting a film. The actor hopes to see his daughter Daisy before she goes to college, but she would rather travel with friends. His manager, Ron Sukenick, tells him that Peter Schneider, the director who launched his career, has died. Schneider had asked to attach Jay's name to a new project to secure its financing, and Jay refused. Jay decides to follow Daisy to Europe, tying the trip to a Tuscany career tribute he had earlier turned down.
