Jamie Marks Is Dead (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Gracie Highsmith finds the body of Jamie Marks, a classmate few people at their high school knew, in an upstate New York town. Police suspect he was killed. Adam McCormick, a track star, remembers only fragments of Jamie being bullied, and the discovery unsettles him. He returns to the river where Jamie was found and meets Gracie, who is building a memorial there. Not long afterward, Lucy's van strikes Adam's mother Linda, leaving Linda unable to walk; Lucy comes to the house to make amends, and Linda welcomes her while Adam is angry. Adam and Gracie see Jamie standing at the edge of the woods, and Jamie then appears to Adam alone, first at the river and then in his bedroom.
