Plot summary
Raja and Jagi are both chefs, and a quarrel between them ended with the family recipe book torn in two. One brother kept the starters and the other the main courses. Each opened a restaurant on the same street in Leicester, and for twenty years they have refused to speak. Raja's daughter Shalini is a lawyer in London, about to marry a man from a different background. She comes home to Leicester for Holi with her news, and she wants the brothers to cook her wedding banquet together.
