Plot summary
J. Baby is an aging mother in Tamil Nadu with two grown sons. Shankar is serious and dutiful, weighed down by responsibilities; Senthil is carefree and keeps his distance. Misunderstandings and unresolved issues from the past have pulled the brothers apart. Then the police bring word that J. Baby has been found in Kolkata, far from home, in circumstances no one can explain. The two men, unsettled, agree to make the trip and bring her back.
