Plot summary
Kara is a private nurse and single mother. She moves from the city to the countryside with her two children, thirteen-year-old Jesse and eight-year-old Cambria, to care for Walter Clark, an elderly widower and artifact collector with multiple sclerosis. Kara blames herself for the death of her son Stevie in a car accident she was driving, and she hides a drug addiction. Walter has bought a fabled artifact, the Black Egg of Maa-Kalaratri. Jesse finds the relic, and Walter tells him the legend of Maa-Kalaratri, an ancient spider goddess. A giant spider targets the family.
