Plot summary
Buzzy O'Brien works as a bellhop at the Hotel Royale and dabbles in sleuthing. He takes notice when Kitty Monahan, a guest, asks about a man named Thadius Porter. Sent to Porter's room with a telegram, Buzzy collides with a stranger who drops a claim check. He retrieves it and enters the room, where a body lies. The telegram warns of a woman whose initials are K. M. The police blame Kitty for the killing, so Buzzy gets her away from them and hides her in his mother's house.
