Interstate 60: Episodes of the Road (2002) on Netflix

Plot summary

In St. Louis, Neal Oliver works in a grocery warehouse but wants to be an artist, a choice his father and his girlfriend do not support. At his 22nd birthday party, a waiter named O.W. Grant serves the cake, and Neal, blowing out the candles, asks for guidance about his life. His father answers with a law school admission letter. After a falling bucket strikes his head, he wakes in a hospital, where a doctor tests his sight with playing cards. On leaving the hospital, Neal spots in a billboard the woman he has been dreaming about, though the billboard company insists the space is blank. A new photo of her carries a phone number, which leads him to an appointment, a package, and an address in Danver, Colorado, on a road no map shows.
