Biography
Mark Lutz is an actor who turned to performing after earning an Honors BA in Political Science at the University of Guelph. Born in Montréal, Québec, he moved to Hong Kong as a teenager and later completed high school in Toronto. Improv comedy gave him his first professional work, and the following he built there persuaded an agent to sign him for television and film. In a little over seven years he amassed more than 40 film and television credits. His most recognized part was Jukka Branny-Acke, a Finnish hockey star, in the CTV show Power Play (1998). He relocated to Los Angeles in January 2001, and there he took the role of Groosalugg on the WB series Angel (1999), a figure from another dimension who was part human and part demon.
