Plot summary

Ali Lear is an artist whose work hangs in a gallery. Driving home from the gallery with her husband, Dan Lear, and their young child, she is in a car accident that kills both of them; Ali survives but loses her sight. Her doctor recommends that she bring in someone to help her, so she takes on a caretaker, Jeff. Around the house his assistance proves necessary while she learns to live without sight. She also meets a new neighbor, Linda, and the two become friends quickly. As Ali regains confidence at home, she wants to rely less on Jeff's help.
