Plot summary
Julie Reynolds is a young woman getting by in a big city. An anonymous email reaches her, promising her money if a stranger dies. She discards the unusual message at first. She comes across news of the stranger's death, which pushes her to look deeper. A mysterious envelope then arrives holding cash, described as promised. The cash is welcome in her life, and she talks herself into keeping it.
