Plot summary
Harper works at a New York PR firm, where her boss Sarah delivers constant put-downs and overlooks her effort. Sarah sends her to Barcelona for a weekend to land a new client, a chance Harper means to use to prove herself, and her best friends Nikki and Leah come along. At a nightclub with Diego, one of the Barcelona clients, Harper meets the superstar DJ Leo West and feels an instant connection. Before they can spend time together, Leo has to fly to Ibiza for his next gig, and Harper's unanswered calls from Sarah pile up. Egged on by her friends, Harper decides to follow him.

- The filmmakers wanted the cooperation of Ibiza's local government, but the Consell d'Eivissa opposed the production, so it was shot in Croatia. Around the time of release, Ibiza island authorities were reportedly preparing a lawsuit against Netflix for abusing the Ibiza brand and depicting a stereotypical, unfavorable image of the island.
- Although the story travels from Barcelona to Ibiza, the film was shot mostly in Croatia and Serbia: Split and Zrće in Croatia doubled as Barcelona, while most of the Ibiza scenes were filmed in Krk, Croatia.
