Plot summary
Sarah Zoltanne and her mother Rosemary move from Los Angeles to Pinecrest, a New England town where the popular students call themselves the Descendants Club and treat her as an outsider. Charlie Gorman, the school geek, works in his family's occult bookstore, and the two get along. A mysterious caller keeps saying that they have been waiting for her, which does not worry Sarah, who follows wicca. Kyra Thompson and Eric Garrett tell her that her house once belonged to Sarah Lancaster, burned at the stake for witchcraft in 1698, and draw her into a prank.
