Plot summary
Jacques has spent his life living off his parents, and at forty they have pushed him out of the house. A one-time gigolo, he is set on finding the venture that will make him rich and famous, and he settles on pairing tourism with inexpensive cosmetic surgery. To get the scheme moving he turns up at the Emmaus village in southwestern France managed by his older sister Monique and moves in with her. There he persuades a group of the community's workers to pool their small savings for a journey to a Bulgarian clinic that promises a brighter, more beautiful future.
