Plot summary
Lauren Crandell is a junior wedding planner, and the wealthy Darla Tedanski is her client. A promotion comes with the job if the wedding goes well. At another wedding Lauren meets firefighter Nick Corina when he rescues a groom, and the two connect. That night she sees him again with Darla, and the client's file lists the groom as James Nicholas Corina. Darla is a demanding bride, and a bridal magazine interviews G, Lauren's boss, without mentioning Lauren's part in the work. Lauren also watches G's dog, which causes damage that Nick helps repair. Her friend takes her to the firemen's ball, where Nick asks her to dance.
