Plot summary
Chris, Scott, Brian, Natalie and Johnny are driving when a flock of crows sends the car off the road. They find that Johnny is no longer with them. Natalie and Chris remain at the vehicle while Brian and Scott set out across a cornfield to reach a farmhouse. In the field they come upon a scarecrow standing in a clearing and an old rusted car, its windshield thick with dead crows. The farmhouse they reach is abandoned and dilapidated, and a light burns in an upstairs window. Natalie catches sight of a figure running into the cornfield and follows it.

- Husk began as a 2003 short film that premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and director Brett Simmons' agent sent the feature script to After Dark with that short serving as the pitch, which is what Simmons intended when he wrote it.
