Plot summary
Sydney Ragsdale is divorced, and she and her young daughter are spending the holiday season in a house that came to her through an inheritance. Sydney passes much of her time in the town's bookstore, where she becomes acquainted with Mac, a teacher who takes on the role of Santa for the community each year. As he sets out to make Christmas wishes come true, Sydney is at the top of Mac's nice list this year. When a new opportunity connected to the bookstore presents itself, Mac encourages Sydney to open up again to life, to love, and to the spirit of the holiday.
