Plot summary
Peter and Tonio are two young friends from New York. One of them breaks up with his girlfriend, and they travel to Barcelona to get over it. They spend a wild night partying. Two women ask them back to their house, and the men are excited. Inside, a ghost that kills locks them in and attacks them. They are trapped in the house and must fight the ghost and the evil inside them.

- Pablo Larcuen shot Hooked Up entirely on an iPhone 4S in 2011, choosing the phone because he could not afford to shoot on film and did not want a cheap digital camera; three iPhones were cycled during filming as battery power and storage ran short.
- With no contracts signed for Hooked Up, director Pablo Larcuen got tattoos together with the film's two male leads, which Larcuen reasoned would keep them interested in the project.
- Hooked Up's post-production took an extended period of time because its sound designer was a volunteer who could only work on weekends.
- Despite its found footage style, Hooked Up had a cinematographer who shot the film traditionally and was not shot by the actors themselves; Apple was not involved in the production.
