Plot summary
Malcolm grows marijuana in Northern California with the help of Jack, Carter and Harlan. When he is shot by the pilot who flies him in, the three panic. Jack takes charge, the crew breaks camp, and they carry off enough of the crop to cover what they are owed. Carter and Harlan bring their share to Lucy's house in the next town to dry, while Jack goes looking for a buyer. None of them knows who killed Malcolm, so they try to keep the business going and arrange their largest sale yet without revealing what happened. Lucy grows suspicious when the men behave oddly and the voice on the phone means nothing to her. Jack tells her Malcolm is hiding and urgently needs cash.
