For years these Moon Men have demanded that children be handed over to them for sacrifice, because they believe the blood will restore life to their dead queen. Samara, the queen of Samar, is under their spell and has struck a bargain with the invaders, promising to help them rule the world while she gains power of her own. Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Hercules Against the Moon Men was shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000, which made it infamous for its "Deep Hurting" sequence: five minutes of the cast floundering pointlessly in a sandstorm, with no plot movement or character development at all.
- The sequences set in the mountain kingdom of the Moon Men were filmed in sepia tone rather than full colour — or "Cosmicolor", as the American publicity material called it.
