Plot summary
On Halloween night in 1965, a priest named Zachary Malius kills seven pledges from Winfield College who have entered his family's crypt for an occult initiation rite. He is confined to an insane asylum, and the only pledge to survive is Henry Collins. In 1991, during pledge week, fraternity member Eric Collins, Henry's son, hears his fraternity brother Ned propose that the new pledges get inside the asylum and take a photograph of Malius as their initiation. Eric raises the idea with his father by phone, and Henry ends the call short. In a hotel room, Eric comes upon Liz, his girlfriend, with his younger brother Sonny, and assigns Sonny and another pledge, Ralph, to the initiation task.
