Plot summary
Roy Cady works as a hitman and enforcer in New Orleans, and a doctor tells him he has terminal lung cancer. Before the illness can finish him, his boss arranges a double cross meant to remove him from the business. Roy kills the men sent for him and, at the scene, finds Rocky, a young escort who was being held captive, and brings her with him. They drive toward Galveston, Roy's hometown, where he means to lie low. Rocky says she believed the escort work was legitimate, found through the yellow pages. At a bar they drink, and she offers him sexual favors, which he turns down. The next morning she asks him to stop the car so she can collect money she says is owed to her, and returns with Tiffany, a three-year-old she introduces as her sister.
