Plot summary
Tre, a journalist at the magazine owned by Chip Hightower's father, drives to the Hamptons to see his cousin Sky and her husband Chip, and to land a profile of Summer G, a hip-hop star whose new wealth the community talks about. At the party Summer throws, Tre learns that Sky and Summer were college sweethearts. Summer promises Tre the only interview he will ever give if Tre can get Sky to meet him privately and tell him why she ended their relationship. Tre is skeptical at first. He also sees that Sky and Chip's marriage is not a happy one, and he agrees.
