Plot summary
Work on a Paddington construction site uncovers an unexploded bomb, at first believed to date from the Second World War. The police and military seal off the surrounding streets, and people living nearby, among them Rahim and his parents, are moved to Hyde Park. Chief Superintendent Zuzana Greenfield runs the cordon while Major Will Tranter leads the disposal team that moves in on the device and finds it fitted with a timer. Tranter holds the trigger still with a magnetic clock stopper and the others raise a wall around the bomb. Across the city, Giorgos Karalis and three men drill up from a neighboring building into the Bank Al Muraqabah on Edgware Road and take money and jewelry.

- To keep the bomb-disposal plot of the heist thriller plausible, director David Mackenzie and his production team consulted extensively with real-world bomb disposal experts, military personnel and police while developing the film.
- Theo James did not stick to his scripted part: according to co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James significantly expanded his own character from the initial script, bringing extra depth and spontaneity through improvisation.
