Plot summary
In New York, Ryan Fu has worked hard to leave his Chinese heritage behind and build a career in fashion. That effort has earned him a place as assistant to Francesca, a celebrity stylist, and she now hands him an assignment: dressing Ning, a film star newly arrived from Beijing, for a major magazine photo shoot. Ning rejects Ryan's Western choices and wants a look that conveys the power of the new China, and their different views strain the job. As the two spend the following days working together, they discover they have a great deal in common, and an attraction begins to develop between them.
