Plot summary
Medical school leaves Chloe and Owen little time for anything beyond studying, Owen's job and Chloe's band. They have been close since childhood, and their parents and their circle of friends, among them Alison, Jeff, Brad, Shirley and Tara, are part of the lives they juggle. Neither has much room for a relationship, yet both feel the pull of desire. Owen proposes an arrangement of friends, with benefits, without the expectations he links to dating. Neither admits that each has carried feelings for the other for a long while. Their therapist warns them that arrangements of this kind have brought down empires.
