Plot summary
Near the end of World War II, Nazi officers take the heart of Frankenstein's monster from Dr. Riesendorf and send it by submarine to the Imperial Japanese Navy, which keeps it at a research facility in Hiroshima. The experiments have only just begun when an American atomic bomb destroys the city. Fifteen years on, Hiroshima has been rebuilt, and a wild boy is caught roaming its streets and eating small animals. Word of him reaches American scientist Dr. James Bowen and his assistants Dr. Sueko Togami and Dr. Ken'ichiro Kawaji. Villagers corner the boy in a cave on a beach; Bowen's team takes him into care and observes that radiation does not harm him.
