Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- In Québec, Canada, the film was dubbed into the working-class French dialect joual as Les Lavigueur déménagent, named after a Montreal family who had won what was then the largest jackpot in a Canadian lottery, the 6/49. Most of that family tried to sue the filmmakers but could do nothing, as nobody owns a particular surname.
- In 2007 Flodder was admitted to the Canon van de Nederlandse Film, the Dutch national film canon, and the film still attracts a cult following.
