Plot summary
Majo Tonorio takes the name Filly Brown on stage, and her rhymes come from what she lives in Los Angeles. Her mother, Maria, is in prison and her father, Jose, struggles to provide for the family. A record contract could be their way out, and when a producer offers one, it comes with conditions: Majo would give up her own sound and the friends who helped her get this far.
