Fatal Charm (1990) on Netflix

Plot summary

Adam Brenner stands accused of the rape and murder of six young women, and the prosecutor handling the case against him is Valerie's mother. Valerie is a teenage girl who refuses to accept that he is a serial killer and a rapist. Where others see a killer, she sees a charming man, and she writes letters to him in prison. He writes back, and the two of them carry on a correspondence by mail while his case goes forward. Valerie then sets out to convince the people around her that Adam is not the man everyone says he is, and that he is innocent.
