Plot summary
On the first day at Charles Adams High, a classmate pulls down Cole Reed's pants, and his best friend Maddy Datner does not step in; from then on she will not speak to him. Three years later Maddy sits at the top of the school's social order and dates Kane, while Cole, still shunned, applies to a prestigious art college. Maddy catches Marissa with Kane, and Marissa says she means to be crowned prom queen. Maddy brings Cole a proposal: ruin the prom.
