Plot summary
'Temptation', the first of the two novellas, has honesty as its subject. A boy of five comes across a purse with money in it, and he and his friends must decide whether to buy the sweets they like or to track down whoever lost it. In 'Violin Concerto', the second novella, a boy is forced by his ambitious mother to take up the violin, though he has no wish to become a musician and would rather paint.
