Plot summary
Will dies in a crash on a rural road, and his wife Alice later joins his family at their vacation house. Joseph is there with his girlfriend Thya, his parents Edgar and Susan, and his grandmother Polly, who has dementia. Joseph has been reading the papers of his late grandfather Benjamin, a researcher into demonic possession. They tell of the Necronomicon, the book that released the flesh-possessing demons called Deadites, and of the Kandarian Dagger, which can send them back to Hell. Joseph has removed the spells that hid the dagger from the Deadites. As the family gathers in the secluded house, its members turn into Deadites one after another.
