Plot summary
Heather Thompson comes from Canada and finds her middle class life and her loveless marriage unsatisfying, so she goes looking for a change. At a club she meets Lloyd Buist, a Scot who smuggles ecstasy out of Amsterdam. Heather falls for him, and drugs are part of nearly everything they do together, while his own drug use goes unchecked. The two of them test this new lifestyle and must work out whether they love the drugs, whether they love one another, or whether the drugs are doing the loving for them. Lloyd also owes money to Solo, a shady figure, and he has to settle that debt.
