Plot summary
Mallory, who makes documentaries, and her boyfriend Alex take a cabin in the Laurentian Mountains so that Alex can deal with his severe parasomnia. His therapist, Dr. Snape, suggests that Mallory record his sleep to track the condition, and Alex agrees only after Dr. Snape warns that those with the disorder have killed a partner during an episode. That first night Alex says in his sleep that something is under the house, with no memory of it the next morning. His episodes grow more violent and he keeps referring to a presence in the house. Mallory reads about parasomnia and shows him a picture of a Cthulhu-like entity, asking whether it matches his dreams.
