Plot summary

Andy writes the classified ads at a local newspaper and has moved from one relationship to the next since eighth grade. His girlfriend Cheryl leaves him for a punk rocker named Trevor and keeps their dog, so Andy shares custody of it while he looks for someone new. He meets Lorna in a bar; she hosts a children's TV show, is still upset over Trevor leaving her for Cheryl, and prefers her dog to men. They start making out, and it stops when she throws up. Andy sends roses to the station and calls, but Lorna decides not to pursue him, and he puts himself up in a dating auction instead. Keiran, a vegan nutritionist, wins him there, and Lorna agrees to a date with Callum, the clerk from the video store.
