Plot summary
In this animated adventure The Doctor and Martha Jones trek through space and time in a race against the galaxy's greatest despot, Baltazar, to follow a complex trail of clues to discover the location of the legendary lost spaceship, the Infinite, which, according to myth, can grant anybody their hearts desire.

- Two episodes of the series were scrapped in production: one written by Stephen Fry about the Arthurian legend of the Green Knight, dropped because of Fry's commitments on Kingdom, and Mark Gatiss's "The Suicide Exhibition", in which a Nazi task force assaulted London's Natural History Museum.
- Freema Agyeman had already appeared in Doctor Who in the 2006 episode "Army of Ghosts" as a different character before the BBC confirmed on 5 July 2006 that she would join the show as the new companion, Martha Jones.
- The episode "Human Nature" was the first in the revived era of Doctor Who to explicitly reference the Doctor's incarnations from before his ninth, through the sketches in The Journal of Impossible Things.
