Plot summary
Jeff shows up at Ben's door at two in the morning, and the two men greet each other like the college friends they once were. Their lives have gone different ways. Jeff is an artist who travels constantly and takes lovers as he pleases. Ben has bought a house in the suburbs with Anna, his wife, and the two of them are trying to have a baby. Jeff pulls Ben out to a party given by Lily and Monica, and the pair come home at dawn with a drunken plan that would rearrange all their lives. Lily and Monica have heard the plan. In the sober morning, the two men find the whole idea much more frightening, yet neither wants to be the one who quits.
