Plot summary
Stereotypes about the way gay men speak, and how closely a man follows them, can feed internalized homophobia. At the center is a journalist who has long been uneasy about the sound of his own voice and about the opportunities he believes it costs him. He visits two speech therapists, who assess his voice and help him work on how he speaks.
