Plot summary
Winslow Lowry owes money to gamblers and has nothing to pay them with, while his uncle Albert Dennison is elderly, infirm and rich. The inheritance cannot come soon enough for Winslow, so he sets out to find the most inept helpers he can hire, counting on their incompetence to speed things along. He settles on Markie, Buffy and Kool, three orderlies who have just been dismissed from their last job. They take up their duties in Albert's home, meaning well and getting nearly everything wrong, and the household and the society around it in Palm Beach are soon turned upside down.
