Plot summary
At Zach Harper's high school, the Dirty Deeds are a list of ten dares to be carried out on the Friday night of homecoming weekend, from dusk to dawn. Only one student, Duncan Rime, has ever finished the whole list, in 1989, when it held eight tasks. Zach, a senior, takes up the challenge for his classmate Meg Cummings, whose younger brother Kyle wants to attempt it to win over the jocks who bully him. Meg asks Zach to talk Kyle out of it, and Zach decides to make the attempt himself. The police are determined to stop anyone who tries, and the jocks work to make sure Zach fails.
