Plot summary
Seventy million years ago the Korean Peninsula was ruled by dinosaurs, as was the rest of the earth. The region now known as Jeonnam Yeosu was the forest habitat of Tarbosaurus. Spotty is the youngest in one Tarbosaurus family, a curious and playful child who lives among the trees with his mother and his siblings. He waits for the day he will learn to hunt. One-eye, an older Tyrannosaur in search of a new home, attacks the herd, and Spotty is left on his own.

- In 2008 the Korean TV channel Educational Broadcasting System released Koreanosaurus, a three-part CGI documentary about Cretaceous dinosaurs in Korea, and the success of that documentary led its production team to launch production of Speckles: The Tarbosaurus.
