Trailer

Plot summary

Chun Man-duk lives with his son Seok in a hut near Mount Jirisan, where he gathers herbs. An accident while he was hunting took his wife's life, and he set his rifle aside. The Japanese governor general overseeing the occupation keeps tiger pelts as a hobby, and he sets his mind on the one remaining tiger in Korea, an enormous one-eyed male. Local people who revere the animal fear its loss will let wolves and boars multiply unchecked. Goo-gyeong, once Man-duk's hunting partner, leads a band of Korean hunters who track it for the bounty. Man-duk turns down appeals to join them.
