- The 2019 stop-motion short Wicked Woods: A Descendants Halloween Story was animated using dolls from the Descendants 3 Hasbro toy line, with Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Sarah Jeffery and China Anne McClain all reprising their roles.
- Descendants: The Royal Wedding was the first Descendants project to be announced after the death of Cameron Boyce, who played Carlos. His character's absence was addressed in the special, though it was never specified what happened to him.
