Plot summary
The Catholic Church keeps Jake Greyman for the cases an exorcism cannot settle. He is half human and half demon, and his work is to destroy both the demon and the host it holds. When several possessed girls are found to be connected, Cardinal White teams him with Sister Sarah Ryan and sends the two of them to find what links the cases. The girls were prostitutes, and messages addressed to Jake are turning up. Asmodeus, the demon of lust and a rebel angel who fell with Lucifer, is fathering children on mortal women, and Jake and Sarah search for the last woman on his list.
